Pathfinder High School students visit with Wyoming Governor

A group of Pathfinder High School students from Lander had the opportunity to meet with Wyoming’s new Governor, Mark Gordon, this week.

The group had the chance to visit the Wyoming State Legislature while it was in action. Part of the learning experience was for the students to testify in front of the Legislature on declaring the Blotched Tiger Salamander as the official Wyoming State Amphibian.

The salamanders are usually 7 to 14 inches in length and can be found in many areas of North America. They can be brown, green, or gray in color and sometimes have yellowish stripes with “blotches” or spots across their body.

Governor Gordon remarked that it was, “great to see students getting involved in the legislative process.”
