Governor Mark Gordon will consider a proposal by Lander’s Pathfinder High School students to recognize the state’s official amphibian.
A bill designating the blotched tiger salamander Wyoming’s state amphibian cleared the Wyoming House of Representatives by a 50-9 vote Monday.
The bill had already passed the Wyoming Senate.
Students at Pathfinder High School came up with the idea and presented their proposal to Governor Gordon and legislators earlier this year.
