What rainy weather? Lander Library’s rockin’ summer kick-off party

This year’s Parking Lot Party was a hit for the Lander community!

Even though the weather drove us indoors, people of all ages joined in to kick off the summer and sign up for the Summer Reading Program.

With the help of many fabulous volunteers and the entire Lander Library staff, we offered face painting, juggling lessons, balloon animals, games, scratch art, and drawings for fabulous prizes. Oh, and did we mention the parachute, popcorn, and classic rock music?

We want to send special THANK YOU shout-outs to the following community sponsors who partnered with us for the party:

    • 97.5 KDLY/Fremont Broadcasting and Car Quest Auto Parts in Lander, Perfect Power, Reeds Moghaun Office Supplies, and Lander Medical Clinic/Western Family Medicine for the great live remote broadcast with Maralyne & Michael—you all are Rock Stars!
    • Cracker Box Caramel Pop for amazing popcorn—crunchy sunshine on a rainy day!
    • Kendall and Missy from Wyoming Community Bank for running the Penny Pitch game—you definitely made the kids smile!
    • Renee & Joe from Wyoming Game & Fish for the Fishing Game—learning should always be that fun!
    • Melissa from Volunteers for America for the Asteroid Field Obstacle Course—super fun!

If you haven’t signed up for the Summer Reading Program and would like to, stop by your local Fremont County Library for details. There are fun and exciting things happening in Riverton, Dubois and Lander this summer.
