Over 5,800 pairs of shoes collected in Fremont County by SI Riverton, Girl Scouts

Soroptimist International (SI) of Riverton, in partnership with the Girl Scouts, scoured the County over the last few months in search of gently used shoes. Funds2Orgs picked up the approximately 5,875 pairs of shoes and sent back the following official tally: 7,508 lbs of shoes, and a check for $1,848.20.

SI Riverton wants to thank all the many, many people all over Fremont County who generously brought their excess footwear to help others, to reduce the load at the landfill by over 3 tons, and help generate funds to support the Riverton Soroptimist mission of helping women and girls.

“It truly took a village to make this happen,” SI Riverton shared.
