    Over $30M in annual economic activity reported from local airports

    (Fremont County, WY) – On February 10th, the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) and the Wyoming Airports Coalition (WAC) released the results of their 2020 Aviation Economic Impact Study.

    This study was to determine the annual impact of the state’s 34 public airports with paved runways which includes Fremont County’s 3 airports – Dubois Municipal, Lander – Hunt Field, and Riverton – Central Wyoming Regional.

    The Cowboy State’s 34 airports account for $2B in annual economic activity along with providing 21,974 jobs, according to the statewide report. In addition, $87.7M is reported for local/state sales tax revenue annually.

    Fremont County airports contribute $30.7M to Wyoming’s annual economic activity and over $940,000 in annual state and local sales tax revenue. Read more about each airport in the following reports:
