Over $14,000 raised at 9th Annual Midvale Ice Fishing Derby Benefit

by | Jan 15, 2020 5:08PM

The weekend-long ice fishing derby in Midvale raised over $14,000 for the family of 4-year-old Callia Scribner. Callia has been diagnosed with pediatric acute-onset neuropsychiatric syndrome (PANS) and with that comes a large amount of medical and travel expenses to different specialists in other states.

Between the raffles, silent auction and donations, they were able to raise a record amount this past weekend. Typically, they raise around $6,000 with the most being $10,000 a few years ago, explained Mac from the Midvale Store.

Mac shared appreciation to everyone who participated, donated and help with the event. As well as, a special thank you to Susy Fox for organizing this event and weighing the fish.
