Only three Local State Senate and House Races shaping up for the General

(Lander, Wyo.) – In the primary for  State Senate and State House nominations, three sets of candidates will face opposition while three other incumbents will sail through without a challenge, pending minor party candidates who have the rest of this week to file.

There are three exceptions, however. Incumbent State Senator Cale Case in SD 25 will face Democrat Sergio Maldonado, Sr. in November while in HD33, incumbent Jim Allen will be up against Democrat Andrea Clifford. In a district that encompasses Eastern Fremont, all of Hot Springs and Southern Park Counties, HD 28, Republican John R.Winter will face Democrat Howie Samelson.

Getting a free ride to re-election without any opposition in the General, at this point, is HD 34 Rep. Tim Salazar (R) of Dubois, HD 54 Rep. Lloyd Larsen (R) of Lander, and HD 55 Rep. David Miller (R) of Riverton.
