Off-track betting location in Riverton planning to open in early 2021

After unanimous approval by the Riverton City Council last week, 307 Horse Racing, LLC has one final step of approval through the Wyoming Gaming Commission which is happening on November 13th, according to the owner Randy Greer.

Once this final approval is given, the Gillette-based company will be making strides to open an off-track betting (OTB) facility in Riverton with plans to open in early 2021 – ideally January.

Currently, the Riverton location, called The Starting Gates, will be housed in the former Spur Restaurant on West Main. Their plan is to have 30 terminals for pari-mutuel wagering, which are similar to a slot machines.
