The 2019 Wyoming Women of Influence Awards and the annual Women’s Expo have joined together for one event on September 19th, 20th and 21st at the Casper Event Center. The combined event will honor women’s achievements so far and help them prepare for an even better future. Nominations are open until midnight July 1st and they hope to announce the nominees mid-July.
APG Signature Events shared the below details about the nomination process:
Nominations are open for the seventh annual Women of Influence Awards. Each year the awards, presented at an annual banquet, honor women across the state for their accomplishments and leadership in various industry categories.
The awards are sponsored by the Wyoming Business Report. This year, based on feedback and a growing number of nominees, the event producers added more categories to recognize more women in Wyoming.
Nominations are now open in the following 15 industry categories:
• Banking & Finance
• Energy, Mining & Utilities
• Government, Public Service & Military
• Health Care
• Hospitality, Travel & Tourism
• Logistics, Transportation & Storage
• Manufacturing, Science & Technology
• Media & Communications
• Ranching & Farming
• Real Estate, Construction & Land Development
And these special categories:
• Lifetime Achievement
• Best mentor (male or female)
• Best Company to Work for
Both first-time candidates and women who have been nominated previously (but who did not win) may be nominated again. Nominations must be received by midnight on July 1. Nominations can be made online at http://wyowomen.com/nominations/.
Anyone may nominate a candidate, but the nominees must live and work in Wyoming. All nominations must be complete, as incomplete nominations will not be accepted.
The final honorees will be selected by the WBR publisher and event producers in consultation with past Wyoming Women of Influence winners. Neither individuals who nominate candidates, or the candidates themselves, will be part of the selection panel.
The banquet honoring Wyoming’s Women of Influence will be held on Sept. 19 at the Casper Event Center. The Wyoming Women’s Expo and the Wyoming Women of Influence Awards will join forces in 2019 to create an event that honors women’s achievements so far and helps them prepare for an even better future. After the banquet on Sept. 19, there will be a women’s development day conference on Sept. 20, followed by the Women’s Expo on Sept. 21 at the Casper Events Center.
