    No Unnecessary Travel Warning in place between Shoshoni and Waltman; Chain Law 1 for South Pass

    10:30 a.m. update: The No Unnecessary Travel Warning has been lifted. Conditions remain slick to slick in spots.

    (Shoshoni, WY) – As of 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, the Wyoming Department of Transportation had put into place a “No Unnecessary Travel Warning” for US 20/26 between Shoshoni and Waltman due to winter conditions.

    Additionally, a “Level 1 Chain Law” is in place for South Pass. Level 1 means;

    • Vehicles equipped with tire chains; or
    • Vehicles with adequate snow tires; or
    • All-wheel-drive vehicles.
