    Newly proposed amendments to Lander’s zoning code released; 3rd reading happening Tuesday

    Lander City Council met this week for a work session on Ordinance 1236 – Amending Title 4 – Zoning of the City Code Book. Being only a work session, no official decisions were made.

    14 out of 123 attendees addressed the Council during the public comment period at the meeting. While some shared specific concerns about the proposed changes like parking and compliance, a common theme was to not rush this process and keep working on it.

    Released today is the list of suggested amendments to Ordinance 1236 that have been presented by Lander’s City Council this week. These will be discussed at the upcoming third and possibly final reading on Tuesday.

    On September 3rd, Councilmember Cade Maestas shared his list of proposed amendments – which align with the document released today, and said, “If adopted, I will then move to table the final reading for 1 month (until October meeting) for technical and legal review and continued community input.”
