New record temps set Monday; Pattern expected to continue Tuesday

(Fremont County, WY) – The National Weather Service in Riverton reported new record temps for both Riverton and Lander on Monday, June 14th. However, today is slated to be the hottest day of the week and with that increasing fire danger.

Yesterday, Riverton hit triple digits surpassing its previous 93-degree record set in 2018. The mercury in Lander rose to 97 degrees barely above its previous record of 96 degrees which was set in 1918.

Today is only expected to be warmer and will likely break records once again with highs ranging from 88-103 degrees across Fremont County.
