The Riverton City Council will hold a regular meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, in the Council Chambers at Riverton City Hall, 816 N. Federal Blvd.
The agenda includes an introduction for a new dispatcher, Camille Bench, who will take the oath of office during the meeting.
The council will also consider a resolution for a grant to repair two consoles in the dispatch center.
“The consoles are currently being manually held up by 2×4’s,” staff said.
The grant does not require any matching money from the city, according to staff.
Other items on Tuesday’s agenda include:
-a “community spotlight”
-a presentation on a Constitution Week proclamation
-a presentation on a Hunger Action Month proclamation
-a fireworks permit for the cannons that go off during Riverton High School varsity football games
-a bid award for an airport pickup truck, a wide area mower, and a zero-turn mower
-a third five-year lease agreement with the state for use of a municipal building on Chandelle Boulevard
Tuesday’s council meeting will be preceded by a 6:45 p.m. Finance Committee meeting in the same location.
Both meetings are open to the public for in-person attendance and will be streamed live on the city’s YouTube channel, where past meeting recordings are also stored.
