Natrona County authorities searching for missing 16-year-old

Monday 5:00 p.m. update:

Casper-area authorities continue to search for Joseph “Joey” Peterson. Peterson was last seen wearing pajamas, possibly without shoes in the area of Goose Creek Circle and Hat Six Road in Casper. He is 5’9 and 120 lbs. 

Joseph is described as high-functioning autistic and may not have age appropriate problem solving skills.

Search crews began looking Monday via helicopter and via K9. Ground efforts continued from Sunday into Monday as well.

On Sunday, November 10th at approximately 3:00 p.m. Natrona County Emergency Management announced they are seeking a missing 16-year-old boy. The full announcement is below and in bold.

Natrona County Sheriff’s Office along with other area partners are currently searching for 16 year old Joey who is 5’9″ 120lbs. He was last seen wearing pajamas and possibly without shoes in the area of Goose Creek Circle and Hat Six road in Casper.
