Multiple RV burglaries reported in Riverton; Four arrested in connection

The Fremont County Sheriff’s Department arrested four people in connection with a series of RV burglaries Wednesday. The following information was provided by Fremont County Undersheriff Mike Hutchison:

On Wednesday, June 19, 2019 the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a several RV burglaries at a self-storage business on East Monroe Ave in Riverton.


Responding Deputies found that five separate RVs had been vandalized and burglarized. Deputies learned that property missing from the RVs included electronics, beds and other assorted items.

While investigating the scene, Deputies located evidence of a trail and were able to track the suspects to a nearby residence. A search warrant was obtained for the residence and Deputies located nearly all of the stolen property within the residence.

Pursuant to the investigation, 4 people were arrested in connection to the burglaries, 2 adults and two juveniles. The investigation into this incident continues and no further information can be released at this time.
