According to a recent survey, Campbell County Superintendent Kirby Eisenhauer said that 58% of 533 school district employees say they’d favor allowing school district employees to carry concealed weapons.
21% of survey participants said they were opposed to arming staff, and 20% concluded that more information was needed before forming an opinion.
According to the Gillette News-Record, the school district reported that many staff and teachers submitted written comments on a proposal.
Officials will also host a series of public comment opportunities. Currently, school districts in Cody and Evanston have approved measures to arm teachers and staff.
