More drive-in movie nights in the works for Pavillion

The Town of Pavillion and Possum Pete’s worked together to provide a family-friendly free movie night in Pavillion on Thursday, April 30th. It was a huge turnout that evening.

Vehicles were bumper to bumper all the way from the field by the Rec Center on S Main Street where the movie was playing and wrapped around onto West Center Avenue and continued to WY 133.

Vehicles lined up on WY 133 for the drive-in movie.

Pavillion Mayor Chuck Snyder parked around 200 vehicles that night, shared Town of Pavillion Clerk/Treasurer Rebecca Hatcher. Aside from a few hiccups, like the Wyoming wind blowing the screen over, it went smoothly.

Considering it was our first attempt at something like this I would say it was a huge success.

    Beckie shared the following message:

During last night’s Council meeting the Mayor and Council said they definitely want to continue hosting the event throughout the summer and are working on the details to make that happen. Councilman Matt Pattison thinks he & the Maintenance Supervisor, Mike Long have found a solution to the screen not being so vulnerable to our Wyoming wind. We are very excited and hope to announce another drive-in style movie night in May very soon.
