Monthly update from the Fremont County Coroner’s Office

Fremont County Coroner Mark Stratmoen shared a monthly update from his office at the Fremont County Commissioners’ meeting today, November 12th.

The number of coroner cases remains ahead of this time last year; 133 so far in 2019 compared to 122 at this time last year.

Non-natural deaths also remain ahead of this time last year; 53 so far in 2019 compared to 31 at this time last year.

Suicides continue to be on the rise with a total of 13 so far in 2019. That is 3 more than what was reported last month and 9 more compared to this time last year.

There are 7 reported homicides so far in 2019. That number remains the same as last month and 5 more compared to this time last year.

Accidents continue to rise as well, with a total of 33 so far in 2019. That is 4 more than last month’s report and 8 more compared to this time last year.
