The public comment period about WYPDES permit WY0002062 for expanding the current discharge of produced water from the Moneta Divide Gas Field operated by Aethon Energy into Alkali and Badwater Creeks that flow into Boysen Reservoir ended on July 5th, 2019.
Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality Public Information Officer Keith Guille shares they are currently reviewing the public comments. DEQ received over 450 written comments, not including the oral comments made during the two public meetings.
Guille notes there is no update yet but once the comments are all completed, no set date for completion, DEQ will release a response to the comments.
