(Riverton, WY) – The Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons (MMIP) March for Justice happened on May 5, the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.
Participants began to gather at the 789 Casino at around 4:30 pm last night and walked the little over two miles to Riverton’s City Park where the rally ended just before 7 pm.
Community members along with representatives of local alliances spoke during the City Park rally. They shared personal experiences as well as local and national resources.
