According to Fremont County Undersheriff Mike Hutchison, “numerous local, state, and federal agencies are involved in the search including the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office, Fremont County Search and Rescue, Tribal Fish and Game, BIA, Wyoming State Parks, the Wyoming National Guard, US Fish and Wildlife Service, and numerous private volunteers.” Hutchison says around 40 searchers have been combing the area since Saturday.

Hutchison continued that the man went missing in a, “very rough mountainous terrain at high elevations from around 8,000 to 10,000 feet.” He added, “the terrain consists of densely forested areas and a willow filled creek bottom, in conjunction with the extremely remote location has made the search effort extremely challenging.”

Anyone with information on Rudy should contact the Shoshone and Arapaho Fish and Game office: 307-330-3208, Fremont County Sheriff’s Office: 307-332-5611, or Wind River Police Department: 307-332-3112.
