Members of the RPD head to Jackson for fallen Wyoming Marine procession

    (Riverton, WY) – The homecoming procession for Lance Corporal Rylee McCollum takes place today, Friday, September 10th in Jackson.

    In addition to the WRTA busses offering transport to and from the procession, the Riverton Police Department (RPD) has also sent some of its members to honor the fallen Wyoming Marine.

    Detective Billy Whiteplume, along with Officers Brandon Brookover and Logan Alley, will represent RPD as they help escort McCollum home.


    McCollum, who was one of 13 U.S. service members who lost their lives at the airport incident in Kabul, Afghanistan, graduated from Jackson Hole High School in 2019. He was 20-years-old.
