Meanwhile in Lander, we’re drooling over farm fresh food instead of hot rods
Couple weeks ago, a little birdie told us about breakfast burritos at the Lander Valley Farmers Market. Ever since, some of us have been dreaming of a peaceful Saturday morning spent sipping on LBS coffee, mowing down a savory breakfast burrito, and veggie shopping for tonight’s recipe.
While the rest of you are drooling over hot rods and souped up cars, us foodies are picking up this week’s fixin’s and taste testing goat cheese, homemade root beer and chokecherry BBQ sauce.
There must have been over 20 vendors at today’s Farmers Market. Here’s some of the highlights:
Just a little taste.
Fresh, creamy milk from the Thornburg’s happy, brown swiss cows. Homemade root beer from the Spice Precise ladies and a little sampling of goat’s milk and tomato-basil cheese. Nom nom.
Breakfast with a view.
After the tasting, palette is satisfied with a big, juicy breakfast burrito.
All in all.
It was a beautiful day in Lander spent socializing with uplifting folks who love what they do. Not much in the way of veggies this go-around but I did pick up some cilantro for tonight’s tequila-lime marinade. That Lander Valley Farmers Market is currently held at Lander’s City Park from 9-12 on Saturdays.
