McTeacher Night for Trinity Lutheran a ‘smashing success’
For two hours on Thursday evening Trinity Lutheran School took over the McDonald’s on North Federal. Teachers and staff joined the McDonald’s team to serve food, have a good time and raise money for the school.
“We thought it was a smashing success,” Head Teacher Susan Tucker said.
Several times each year, McDonald’s in Riverton hosts McTeacher nights where a portion of the proceeds from the evenings’ sales are donated to a local school. Earlier this year it was Aspen Early Learning Center, Thursday it was Trinity Lutheran and another is in the works.
Tucker said her school is incredibly grateful for this outreach by McDonald’s; “what a fine service,” she said. The money raise for Trinity Lutheran will likely go toward upgrading curriculum for next school year, she said.
“Everybody had a great time!”
