Shortly after 2:30 p.m. on Monday, March 11 the Riverton Police Department received a call about a male subject, though to be deceased, near the Riverton Rails-To-Trails path between East Park Avenue and East Jackson Avenue.
RPD officers arrived on scene and pronounced the man dead shortly after.
Officials have released the identity of the deceased as 62-year-old Horace Big Medicine Jr. According to the Gillette News Record and RPD documents, the initial call to police stated that he was discovered wearing a t-shirt, jeans, and one shoe, just a few yards off of the path.
