    Man apprehended after eluding police on 100+ mph high speed chase

    (Fremont County, WY) – Law enforcement has apprehended a subject who began eluding police around 12:00 PM in Riverton earlier today, March 30th, according to scanner traffic.

    The pursuit soon escalated to 60 mph while on East Monroe, then continued out of Riverton City Limits.

    Speeds then reached 100+ mph while on Left Hand Ditch Road, where the subject was reportedly weaving in and out of oncoming traffic.

    The subject’s vehicle then slowed down while making their way onto Ethete Road, after sustaining damage from leaving the roadway.

    Scanner traffic also indicated road spikes were at one point deployed but avoided by the subject, who was later apprehended after driving down a dirt road toward a nearby river around 12:40 PM.

    Law agencies involved included the Riverton Police Department (RPD), the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) and the Wind River Police Department (WRPD).
