Gas Mask Gamer is the Youtube channel of Oughen Karn from Dubois. Two years ago he was diagnosed with leukemia, and as a Make-A-Wish Wyoming grantee he wanted to set up his own Youtube gaming channel.
“Gaming and YouTube has given me the ability to socialize and find peace amongst the chaos, and I’m so excited to share my experience with the world,” Oughen said on his Youtube page.
Oughen says that watching video games on YouTube calms him, and his mom was the first one to suggest that he should make his own channel.
“With Covid we haven’t been able to get out much with his low immunity,” his mom Sarah said. “So, this is how he socializes and it’s a really big part of his life.”
Here is the link to Oughen’s channel on YouTube. He says that he chose the gas mask iconography for his logo because it reminds him of his experience during cancer treatments wearing double sided filtered masks and that they look like old military gas masks.
