    LVHS senior commits to Division 1 Equestrian Team next fall

    Lander Valley High School senior and numerous world title winner Kristen McPherson verbally committed to Baylor University’s Division 1 Equestrian Team for fall 2021, her mom Melissa shared with County 10.

    For the past 6 years, Kristen has competitively shown horses in the APHA and AQHA breed show associations, and earning the following: 2 World Titles in Trail and 1 in Horsemanship and 2 Reserve World Titles in Showmanship, 2 Reserve World Titles in Western Riding and 1 Reserve World Title in Horsemanship.

    Kristen’s accomplishments don’t end there, she is a member of the LVHS National Honor Society, and Vice President for the 2020-2021 school year. She is also a member of the defending 3A Girls Swim & Dive team and last year placed 4th overall in 100 Backstroke and 10th overall in the 200 Individual Medley.

    She’s an active member of her local FFA chapter and during the 2018-2019 school year she was 7th High Individual National FFA Horse Evaluation and her team was 8th National FFA Horse Evaluation.
