The Lander Police Department is continuing the on-going investigation of a statement made by a Lander Middle School student last week. The Lander Police Department has committed numerous man hours into investigating the statement made by the student. To date, no evidence has been discovered to substantiate any creditable threat that the involved student was viewing information about, researching, or planning a school shooting or other violent act at the Lander Middle School or any other Fremont County School District #1 school. The Lander Police Department takes all statements of threats seriously (whether inconsequential or explicit) and we thoroughly investigate every statement made to ensure the safety of the students, the school staff and our community.
