Lots of fun planned for this week’s Lander Valley Farmers Market!

Thank you to Wyoming Community Bank for sponsoring this content.

Head to Lander City Park on Saturday from 9 to 11:30 a.m. to peruse and purchase local produce, products and art at the Lander Valley Farmers Market. This week’s vendors have reported that they’re bringing fresh, local honey, flowers, lamb, sauerkraut, homemade doll clothes, and of course, lots and lots of produce. Plus, there will be an observation beehive and live music!

Kelly Dehnert formed WyoJazz in the 1990s when he was Professor of Instrumental Music at Central Wyoming College. WyoJazz brings professional jazz artists together from Fremont County and the rest of Wyoming to perform special events.

The jazz ensemble has performed History of Jazz shows for the schools, for the International Climbers Festival, for CWC Jazz Night and for several Hot Notes | Cool Nites concerts. In addition, they have performed clinics for middle school audiences and lunchtime shows for high school students.

Members of the group have included well-known artists Ronnie Bedford, Willie Wright, Doug Bull and Jeff Troxel. The current members are Willie Wright (saxophone | flute), Sarah Trembly (vocalist), Sean Francis (bass | drums), Marta Maulik (bass), Feike van Dijk (Latin percussion) and Ian McFarland (drums). Trios, quartets and larger groups are available for special events and concerts.

They perform standard, contemporary, Latin and jazz rock favorites.
