    Lorraine Primmer Newby

    Lorraine Primmer Newby, 73, went to her home in heaven on January 4, 2021 in Denver, Colorado. She was born March 26, 1947, in Montrose, Colorado, to Dean and Mickey Primmer.

    Lorraine graduated from Fremont County Vocational High School in 1965 where she had been very active in numerous clubs, Student Council, Girls State, cheerleading and was crowned Snoball Queen and Prom Queen Attendant. She married Dick Ellis in Lander in 1966.

    She attended Parks School of Business in Denver, Colorado, and had a very rewarding career in banking including being named Vice President of the Jeffery City State Bank in 1978.

    Lorraine married George Newby on November 11, 1978 in Lander. She enjoyed fishing, boating, reading, music and counted cross stitch.

    Lorraine is survived by her husband, George, of Aurora, CO; her sister, Carolyn (Wally) White of Powell; her brother, Dean Primmer of Lake Tamarisk, CA; and children – Rick Ellis of Los Angeles, CA; Jodi Ellis (Travis) Church, of Bennett, CO; Richard and Cole Newby; grandchildren, Richard and Anna Ellis; Coulter, Chloe and Caden Church; Caleb, Logon, Alex and Noah Newby. Numerous cousins, nieces and nephews will also miss Lorraine and cherish many wonderful memories. A family memorial service will be held this summer.
