The Giantess Geyser in Yellowstone National Park erupted on August 25th for the first time in over 6 years. This is reportedly the longest the geyser has gone without erupting.
The first dormancy record for this geyser was 2 years and 139 days. Then finally “this very large and very noisy geyser erupted” on January 29th, 2014, according to a post from Yellowstone National Park Staff in 2014.
