Local partnerships seek to increase suicide prevention awareness at upcoming Car Show

Fremont County Prevention Program and Eastern Shoshone Tribal Health are proud to partner with J.R.’s Hunt; for Life and the Hot Rod Hooligans as they make their way to Ft. Washakie for the “Road Trip to Suicide Awareness” Car Show happening June 22, 2019.

According to Tauna Groomsmith of Fremont County Prevention Program, an event of this nature provides support to the community and a safe environment for survivors to connect and share their experiences. “We hope to increase awareness and promote resources for individuals and their families,” explained Tauna.

In addition to a wealth of support, the Road Trip to Suicide Awareness Car Show will include a people’s choice award, vendors, tribal health program providers, free WiFi, and the Eastern Shoshone Indian Days Pow Wow will be going on right down the road.

Come on your own or with a group and meet us there, 1-4 pm, no sign-ups, no fees, just support for our neighbors.

Make this a must do on your calendar as we all come together for this life saving event!

There are several other events happening in coordination with Shoshone Indian Days.
