(Fremont County, WY) – The Big Bend Ponds in Riverton and Luckey Pond in Lander were hoppin’ with kiddos and their families Saturday in celebration of Kids Fishing Day hosted by local Kiwanis Clubs and the Wyoming Game and Fish Department.
The heat today, didn’t seem to deter any young fishers. Nearly 100 kiddos were registered before 10:30 am in Riverton, and though Lander didn’t quite reach that many they still had a decent turnout.
Representatives from Game and Fish and the Kiwanis Clubs were busy setting up fishing rods and untangling them, sizing up the catches, grilling burgers and hot dogs, and so much more.

We don’t have any final numbers yet for either event, but it was definitely a great way to spend a Saturday.
The Dubois Kiwanis Club and Game and Fish will host a Kids Fishing Day at Pete’s Pond in Dubois from 9 am to 1 pm on June 12th.
