Local Girl Scouts help beautify Hudson

(Hudson, WY) – Girl Scouts give back. And that’s just what they did in Hudson this past weekend as they beautified in front of Town Hall, Gold Star Memorial Park, and the Yablonski Memorial Library. 21 girls from Fort Washakie, Ethete, Pavillion, Riverton, and Lander spent Friday night and Saturday in Hudson.

Saturday morning, they set up planter boxes made from pallets from their annual cookie shipments and a few donated ones. The boxes were placed in front of Town Hall, where they also cleaned the sidewalk.

Things were getting a little messier down the block at Gold Star Memorial Park. The girls were neutralizing rust on the fence with vinegar. Once they were finished, they began painting.

The girls ranged in age from 3rd to 12th grades. Every girl that I asked said they were having fun.

While there on Friday night, they took advantage of some star gazing from the John P. Vinich Event Center (a.k.a. Hudson Baseball Park).

They also spruced up the Yablonski Memorial Library inside and out.

Check out a few more photos on the Town of Hudson Facebook page.

    Way to go, girls!
