Ledoux coming to Lander next year; Bars to be open 24 hours for New Years Eve
(Lander, Wyo,) – A fundraiser for the Lander Rodeo Grounds will hopefully feature Wyoming entertainer Ned Ledoux at the Lander Community Center in February. The Lander City Council approved a preliminary contract with the singer’s booking agent at Wednesday night’s special city council meeting. The approval gives city staff a green light to finalize the agreement.
The meeting was moved from Tuesday to ensure a quorum of council members, according to Mayor Del McOmie.
Ledoux is the son of famous country singer the late Chris Ledoux of Kaycee and a country music star in his own right.
The concert, set for Saturday, February 10, is a fund raiser for the replacement of the rodeo ground bleachers. While the city has not yet released a request for proposals, the engineers cost estimate for the project is $214,000. The city’s share of that cost is $107,000, or half. The fund raising concert will raise money for the city’s share.
In other action, the council also approved a 24-hour permit for the city’s liquor establishments to be open on New Years Eve and New Year’s Day.
