Every 2 months Injury Prevention Resources hosts the Adult Alcohol Education (AAE) Classes with locations alternating between Riverton and Lander.
Our next one is coming up quick on August 8, 2019, in Riverton at City Hall starting at 7:00 pm.
However, this particular AAE is extra special because we have 3 guest speakers! You really don’t want to miss this, but to find out who they are, you need to be there!
The Adult Alcohol Education Program is supported and utilized by Fremont County Courts, youth services, and many treatment programs as an effective way to educate and sanction DUI offenders within our community. But it is not ONLY for DUI offenders. It is an excellent educational tool for student drivers, and anyone interested in learning how to be safer on the roads.
The program is designed to emotionally impact offenders and guests so that they begin to consider the pain and suffering impaired driving imparts onto their victims. The panel is comprised of volunteers who have had their lives changed forever because of an impaired driving crash. Panelists speak about how alcohol-related crashes have affected them and their families.
During the event, attendees learn about the local tragedies that depict how many lives are lost on our roads and how to prevent crashes behind the wheel. The Adult Alcohol Education Program impacts attendees on a highly personal and emotional level, thereby enabling them to seriously consider the tragic, ultimate consequences of driving under the influence of alcohol and other drugs.
If you would like to attend, all you need to do is show up. Hope to see you there!
