The Week of August 1 – 8 for LCF’s 10-for-10: CELEBRATING 10 YEARS of LANDER’S CHALLENGE FOR CHARITIES

We are proud to introduce 4 Lander nonprofits for the week of August 1 – 8. They are Big Brothers Big Sisters, PALS, Lander Community Concerts Association, and the Lander Art Center.

    BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS

Since 1904, Big Brothers Big Sisters has operated under the belief that inherent in every child is incredible potential. As the nation’s largest donor- and volunteer-supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages 5 through young adulthood in communities across the country. We develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.

So many of our matches have struggled to find ways to meet during this difficult time with COVID, but we have found amazing ways to continue to reach out and be a meaningful part of each other’s lives. We hope that a hike in the beautiful Sinks Canyon will be a healthy activity for the heart and mind. Please join us as we join the SINKS CANYON SERIES: THURSDAY EVENING YOUTH HIKE. This will be a wonderful opportunity to learn more about Big Brothers Big Sisters and what it means to be a Defender of Potential.
