    Laramie-area experiences 102 mph wind gust Monday

    (Laramie, WY) – In what’s become a bizarre Wyoming weather game, our new leader for the “strongest wind gust of the week” award in the Natural Fort weather station in southeastern Wyoming.

    They recorded an incredible 102 mph wind gust at just above 6,700 feet Monday. Elk Mountain and Arlington saw gusts reach the 80’s again Monday. Arlington was the week’s previous leader with a 91 mph gust on Sunday. In other words, it’s been a windy week, even by Wyo standards.
