    Lander’s United Methodist Church to host interfaith service of prayer for Pittsburgh Synagogue shooting victims

    Lander’s United Methodist Church will host an interfaith service of prayer event on Friday, November 2nd beginning at 6:00 p.m.

    11 people were shot and killed At Pittsburgh’s Tree of Life synagogue on Saturday morning. Several others, including four law enforcement officers, were injured. A 46-year-old man has been arrested in the attack.

    Community members of all churches and faiths are welcome to attend the event. A Facebook event page reads, “Friends…. please consider joining us for a service of prayer to bless the Tree of Life Congregation as they continue to heal from their recent tragic experience. Local Jewish friends will be with us to lead the service and to lead us through a breaking of the bread ceremony.”
