Eagle Bronze located on Poppy Street in Lander recently announced the completion, including shipping, one of their “biggest and longest works of art in our portfolio.”
The project began in 2007 with Italian artist Arturo Di Modica. His most notable work includes the Charging Bull that is placed in front of the New York Stock Exchange on Wall Street.
Di Modica has proposed the two horses are going to be placed “on the banks of the river Ippari, which crosses Vittoria and flows into the Mediterranean sea,” according to Italian news outlet La Sicilia. The article also says that Vittoria is Di Modica’s hometown. While no timeline or confirmation that this proposed installation in his hometown was happening, Eagle Bronze did note the horses are currently en route to New Jersey to prepare for the possible journey overseas.
The project took some time because there was no “commission or purchaser to fund it, he saw through the raising of needed capital to complete each stage of production even as those stages were sometimes broken up by long periods,” according to the announcement from Eagle Bronze.
