After a little over a year of renovations, Palace Pharmacy will be opening in their new location in Lander at 1255 Main Street on Monday, November 30th at 9:00 am.
In order to prepare for the Monday opening, they will be closing at 4:00 pm on Friday, November 27th, and will be closed all day Saturday and Sunday.
Their new location more than doubles their current square footage which allows for expansion in multiple areas. In addition, the new location adds a drive-thru pharmacy window and significantly increased parking.
Jolene Osback has owned Palace Pharmacy for 11 years and is excited that they decided to move forward with the remodeling of the new location even though the pandemic made for some uncertainty early on this year.
The Osback’s purchased the former Shopko building in August 2019 after having outgrown their current location. “We took a leap and did it,” Jolene shared with County 10 about purchasing the building. “We are super excited, and we’ve done a ton of work in here.”
Inside the new location, you will find expanded health and beauty products, toys, apparel, gifts, photo kiosk and more. They also have an ice cream shop with indoor seating which will be opening about a week after November 30th. In the summer, they will have a covered patio outside to enjoy those cool treats on hot summer days.
They are also considered a Hallmark Gold Crown store and just in time for the holidays, they will have their keepsake ornaments and holiday products available.
Another piece of the expansion is just the overall size of the pharmacy. They now have room for more community-oriented activities like seminars for diabetes awareness. Jolene hopes to host monthly events there.
The Osback’s next plan is to remodel the other half of the building and eventually lease it to another business.
