(Lander, WY) – 28-year-old Lander resident Parris Lawrence pled “not guilty” to the 5 charges filed against her at a February 22nd arraignment hearing.
These charges include fraud by check and fraud by check aggregate felonies, and three fraud by check misdemeanors, which Lawrence faces after six alleged instances of check fraud occurring at various Fremont County businesses.
Lawrence’s defense stated that they are “in the process of reaching a plea agreement,” and Lawrence plans on paying the restitution as a part of that agreement.
Change of plea and sentencing hearings have yet to be scheduled at this time.
