    Lander Valley High School wins 2020 boys cross country state championship

    The Lander Valley High School boys cross country team are state champions.

    LVHS out-paced the field Friday morning on a chilly course in Afton. The host team, Star Valley, finished second and Lyman came in third. Riverton’s boys finished 7th overall.

    Individually, Peter Visser of Star Valley won the individual race while Sam Kistemann from LVHS was runner-up. Tiger Kaleb Simonson took third, Ethan Kraft was 6th, and Blaine Goklish took 8th.

    The Cody ladies took the 3A team state championship while Lander’s ladies finished 6th overall.

    Jackson’s boys and girls swept the 4A team championships and Tongue River’s boys and girls swept the 2A championships.
