Lander Valley High School Homecoming Week kicks-off on Monday, September 30th!
This year’s theme is: Around The World
Community events:
- Friday, October 4th:
- Homecoming Parade – 2:00pm
- Homecoming Football Tailgate Party – 5:00 pm – LVHS parking lot (look for more information on the tailgate party coming from the LVHS Band)
- Varsity Football vs. Riverton (with Homecoming Royalty announced and presented at half-time)- 7:00 pm

- Pep Rally- 1:00-1:30 pm- LVHS Gym
- 1:30-2:00 pm- Homecoming parade preparation/lineup

LVHS Homecoming Spirit Days:
- Monday, September 30th – Dia de la Siesta = PJ Day
- That’s right…in honor of countries that know how to rest during the afternoon, we’re kicking off the week with a Monday where you can roll out of bed and wear your pajamas to school!
- Tuesday, October 1st– Tropical Tuesday
- Sport your best tropical gear in memory of the fleeting summer days. Think board shorts, Hawiian print, leis, surf gear, sunglasses, etc.
- Wednesday, October 2nd– Safari Wednesday
- Dress up as either any safari animal (lion, elephant, hippo,etc. OR a tourist (hat, shorts, high socks, etc.)
- Thursday, October 3rd– Heritage Day
- This is the day to honor our familial and cultural heritage. Showcase authentic dress from your family and/or cultural lineage or dress in/as something from the country of your ancestors’ origins.
- Friday, October 4th– Bleed Green
- The most important spirit day of the week…lets represent Tiger Nation pride by “bleeding green” with your Tiger gear. Wear anything green, black, white and LVHS Tigers you can find. The more crazy and over-the-top, the better!
LVHS Homecoming Parade:
The parade will kick off promptly at 2:00 pm from the LVHS front parking lot, starting with Mr. Ken Persson and the Color Guard and the LVHS Band.
- If you plan on having a float in the parade, please email me no later than Friday, September 27th indicating which club/activity/group your float will represent.
- There will be no particular order of floats in the parade other than the Color Guard and LVHS band leading everyone off (yes…this is a change from the last few years when the band was at the end of the parade).
- Please remember that all floats are to represent the Homecoming theme…no political floats/messages will be allowed.
LVHS Homecoming Dance:
The Homecoming Dance is scheduled from 9pm-12am in the LVHS commons. Please keep in mind that if the football game goes over 9pm, the doors will not open for the dance until the football game has ended.
- The dance is for current LVHS and Pathfinder High School students only.
- A photo I.D. in the form of an LVHS or PHS student I.D. MUST be shown in order to get into the dance.
- The cost of the dance is $3 per person or $5 a couple.
- If a current student would like to bring a guest, a “Lander Valley High School Event Guest Pass” MUST be filled out and turned in no later than Wednesday, October 2nd to the LVHS front office. These passes can be picked up at the LVHS front office.
- The attire for the Homecoming Dance is informal (jeans, t-shirts, etc…whatever you wear to the football game!)
