Head to Lander City Park on Saturday from 9 to 11:30 a.m. to peruse and purchase local produce, products and art at the Lander Valley Farmers Market. This week’s vendors have reported that they’ll have sauerkraut, lamb, wildflower and clover honey, dog chews, bacon egg and cheese puff pastries, and of course, lots and lots of fresh veggies.
Volunteering at the Lander Valley Farmers Market
Do you want to get involved with the market? The Lander Valley Farmers Market is seeking two volunteers per week to help out. It’s a really fun way to spend a Saturday morning. For more information, or to sign up, email [email protected].

Corn and Black Bean Salad
This tasty recipe makes a nice addition to any summer barbecue (it’s also good as a standalone lunch).
- 15 ounce can black beans, rinsed and drained
- 15 ounce can corn
- cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 red pepper, chopped
- 1/4 cup red onion, chopped
- 4 green onions (or garlic scapes), chopped
- 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
- 2 tbsp. lime juice
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 tsp. cumin
- Salt
- Pepper
To create the dressing, whisk together the lime juice, olive oil, cumin, salt and pepper. Mix the other ingredients, and toss with the dressing.
