For several years, bright yellow banners have decorated Lander’s Main Street.
Each banner has a different name on it, recognizing someone serving in the United States military.
According to the City of Lander, these banners will all be retired in a few weeks. In late November or early December, the City will begin setting up Christmas decorations. When that happens, the banners will become officially retired.
Family members should have already received, or be receiving a call soon, about the banner retiring process and how they can obtain the banners if they’d like them.
If you are a family member of a serviceman or servicewoman with a banner hanging and have not received a call, please contact RaJean at 307-332-2870 ext 2.
