Lander LIVE continues on Thursday, August 1st with Southern Avenue and local opener Lost Springs Band.
Southern Avenue
Southern Avenue is an American five-piece funky blues and soul band from Memphis, Tennessee, United States. Formed in 2015, they took their name from a street in Memphis running from the easternmost part of the city limits to “Soulsville”, which was the original home of Stax Records. Rock 103 described them as “the most talked about band in Memphis.” Southern Avenue reached the finals of the International Blues Challenge in 2016. The band won a Blues Music Award in 2018 for “Best Emerging Artist Album”. Their self-titled debut album entered the US Billboard Top Blues Albums Chart at number 6 on February 2017 and reached number 1 on the iTunes Blues Chart. In 2017-2018 the band toured over 15 countries including Australia, Canada, Europe, Scandinavia and more.
The band’s Memphis Music is an embodiment of organic soul, blues and R&B fusion that reflects the diverse roots of the members and provides an electrifying show.
Lost Springs Band
The Lost Springs Band is a Fremont County-based cover band playing an eclectic mix of party and dance tunes ranging from blues and country to classic rock and pop. No matter the genre, their sharing of lead vocals and impressive backing harmonies combined with solid musicianship create an engaging blend of tunes bound to get feet moving and toes tapping!
