Lander Game and Fish Visitor’s Center revitalizes exhibits
Lynn Stewart has been working with the Wyoming Game and Fish Department to replace replicas at the Lander Game and Fish Visitor Center. Stewart is a retired taxidermist and a current resident of Dubois, Wyoming.
The two-step upgrade has begun with the removal of decadent plants and specimens. The old specimens will then be replaced with new, museum-quality replicas.
According to Rene Schell of the Wyoming Game and Fish Department, the first step of the process involved the replacement of one evergreen, sagebrush, grass, and limber pine. The second step will include mostly habitat replacement, although the Game and Fish does plan to include more small mammals in the exhibit.
