    Lander, Fort Washakie areas record most precipitation

    (Fremont County, WY) – Some much-needed rain and snow found their way into Fremont County over the last few days.

    According to the National Weather Service in Riverton, we had the heaviest rain and snowfall in the past 24 hours. Areas around Lander and Fort Washakie had the most precipitation recorded.

    SW Lander had a total of 1.24 inches of rain which was recorded at 7 am on Monday. Check out the local rain totals list below.

    While the lower elevations experienced rain, the mountain areas saw snow – 8 inches of snow was recorded near Fort Washakie and Lander. Check out the local snow totals list below.
